POSITION OVERVIEW
The Accounting Manager oversees expense and income records, payroll, and financial documentation needs for The Rock School Center in Philadelphia and The Rock West in Westchester, PA. This individual works directly with the Finance Director and Rock West Director organizing financial reporting and accounts payable. A priority is addressing customers’ needs and concerns as quickly and effectively as possible, developing and maintaining strong relationships, and supervising, tracking, and evaluating day-to-day activities. Responsibilities include developing and implementing systems for collecting, analyzing, verifying, and reporting information.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Reconciling the company’s bank statements and bookkeeping ledgers
Completing analysis of the employee expenditures
Managing income and expenditure accounts
Generating the company’s financial reports using income and expenditure data
Keeping a check on the company’s finances based on financial status
Assisting with filing and remitting taxes and other financial obligations
Initiating and managing financial and accounting software used by the company
Assisting with Accounts Payable
Experience with accounting software and data entry
Excellent understanding of accounting rules and procedures including the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
Advanced knowledge and experience of spreadsheets
Customer service
Ability to work independently
Analytical skills
QUALIFICATIONS
The Accounting Manager position requires a bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or any other related field. A master’s degree is an added advantage.
Experience with accounting management
Exceptional attention to detail and ability to work in a deadline-driven environment
Exceptional communication skills
Ability to delegate responsibilities effectively

SALARY
The salary range is $45,000 to $50,000, commensurate with experience. A competitive benefits package is available to all full-time employees.
