Modern/Conditioning/Acrobatics For Dancers

MODERN - Ballet or Jazz levels 3x & up.
This class will begin with a warm-up and may include progressions across the floor, center work and choreography.

This modern class is based on the Horton technique, devised to fortify, stretch and reshape the body in preperation for its use as an instrument for expressive dance. Horton uses flat backs and lateral stretches, tilt lines and lunges, all movements that could be found in a jazz warm-up. Horton technique also incorporates lyrical, circular movements focusing on stretching in opposite directions.

Students should follow the Jazz dress code but will take the class barefoot.
