Class Information

The Rock School West, the branch school of The Rock School for Dance Education, is a not for profit dance school that offers instruction in ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop, theatre, and contemporary dance styles for all age groups.

The School trains students from suburban Philadelphia, preparing talented young artists for careers as professional dancers, as well as providing an exceptional experience for those who simply enjoy dance as an activity. The School instills creativity, discipline and confidence and has seen firsthand how the study of dance can inspire productive work habits in students’ other activities and careers.

The Rock School West is located in the heart of Chester County in the Goshen Village Shopping Center in West Chester, PA.

  * Please note: Students do not automatically advance to the next level at the end of each year. Emotional maturity, physical development, comprehension, competency of execution, correct body positioning and adequate body strength may necessitate two to three years of training at any given level, particularly level 2x and up. For ballet students, it is not unusual for a teacher to delay pointe work for specific dancers who may not currently possess the necessary strength or body alignment. These students maybe be invited to take the pointe class in soft shoes.
