The Milton Rock Challenge Grant

The Rock School Exceeds Grant Challenge!

The Rock School for Dance Education is thrilled to announce that the organization has met and surpassed the Milton Rock Challenge Grant. Just over a year ago, Dr. Milton Rock established the generous challenge grant, promising to match every new dollar donated to The Rock School, up to $250,000, through December 2011.

With an exciting new challenge and the prospect of such a bountiful and significant donation, The Rock School Development Department, Directors, and staff banded together in an effort to meet Dr. Rock’s challenge.

Thanks to Dr. Rock, The Rock School staff, and loyal support of outside donors, The Milton Rock Challenge Grant was a major success. Money that was raised through the challenge grant has been allocated to support The Rock School’s core programming, including the RockReach outreach program. The donations made by Dr. Rock and our valued supporters will also help The Rock School provide $500,000 in scholarships to talented young dancers from around the world, as well as underserved youth from Philadelphia.

We are very proud to have fulfilled The Milton Rock Challenge Grant. Our organization also wants to express sincere gratitude for the consistent dedication and support from donors, as well as the Philadelphia community. The Rock School faculty, staff, and students continue to be grateful to Dr. Rock for his generosity in creating this challenge grant. His efforts have been instrumental in recognizing the importance of our school and it’s place as one of Philadelphia’s most important performing arts institutions.
