2024 Summer Residence

The Rock School is pleased to announce that we will again be offering two exceptional state-of-the-art dorm facilities for our dancers this Summer! Please note that dancers will be provided with a dorm assignment closer to the start of the intensive and do not have the option of selecting a residence location.

CURTIS INSTITUTE RESIDENCE

Located in the heart of Rittenhouse at 1616 Locust Street, Curtis provides walkability to The School and multiple Center City attractions. Additional amenities include 24-hour security with keycard access, an onsite café which caters to a variety of dietary and nutritional needs, complimentary laundry facilities, lounge and terrace areas, and en suite bathrooms.

THE LOCATION

The Curtis Institute Residence is located in one of Philadelphia’s loveliest neighborhoods, . A bank, post office, library, restaurants, movie theater, and many shops are available to students on a regular weekly basis through a shuttle service that will be provided. The Curtis Residence is a 15 minute walk from The Rock School. Dancers will be walked to and from Residence each day accompanied by a chaperone.

RESIDENCE HALL

Curtis Residence offers suite-style living with well-thought-out design and amenities in line with what students expect in contemporary modern campus housing. Each unit is very spacious and can serve up to eight students and features four bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a small common area. Each suite is equipped with WIFI access, and cable TV is provided in the community lounge. The Curtis Residence is equipped with a game lounge, a free laundry room, and a terrace. The building also has 24-hour security attendants and cameras.

SECURITY 

The Curtis Residence building has 24-hour security attendants and cameras. The outside doors to the dormitory are always locked. For detailed information regarding campus safety please visit www.curtis.edu

DINING

The Curtis Residence has a dining area conveniently located on the ground floor of the dormitory. Rock-Curtis Residents will be provided with daily meals. Please be aware that dancers will be provided lunch Monday - Saturday by The Rock School Café.

SHORT OUTINGS/ CURFEW

Every dancer must sign out when leaving the residence. Chaperones know each student’s whereabouts at all times. All rules are designed to ensure that every student is safe. More details regarding short outings and curfew will be available in the upcoming weeks.
